In just six weeks, you will learn how to perform a complete skin analysis, including face steaming, mask application, spot extraction, and facial massage. The course also covers health and safety in a salon environment. Our unique teaching method lets you fast-track the course by studying one day a week over six weeks. You’ll be provided with leading beauty brands, and our experienced tutors will support you during practical assessments.

Course Outline

What Will You Learn From The Course?

The facial and skincare course will enable you to perform a professional full facial treatment on a client.

We will cover the followings:

  • Hygiene, Health, and Safety
  • Contra-indication, Contra-action, and Client care
  • Anatomy & Physiology related to the skin, face, scalp, and neck
  • Skin analysis, skin types and conditions
  • Skin cleansing, toning, exfoliation, and moisturising
  • Steam and extraction
  • Provide face, neck, and shoulder massage
  • Apply Masks
  • Client advice and guidance
To obtain VTCT Level 2 Facial and Skincare award, you will need to complete the following three units:
  • 1 Facial Massage and Skincare
  • 2 Health, Safety and Hygiene of the workplace
  • 3 Client Care, Communication and Salon Reception Duties

  • 1 What are entry requirements for Level 2 facial and skincare course?

    This course is open to all, regardless of prior experience. You do not need to have any other VTCT qualifications, as this course is thoughtfully designed for newcomers and seasoned pros alike. Students must be aged 18 and over and must be able to speak and understand English at a level that is sufficient to participate in the course.   • 2 What is the schedule of Level 2 facial and skincare course?

You will provide evidence to determine whether you have reached a level of competence. Written assessment papers will provide further evidence of your knowledge and understanding of the subject. The collation of the assessments will be contained in a portfolio which will contain all document feedback sheets and written assessments/projects/assignments.
